Free UTM builder
Build a campaign URL with UTM parameters for Google Analytics 4. It runs in your browser: your recent links stay on this device and are never sent to us.
Your campaign URL
These links live only in this browser. Create a free account to keep them and share your campaign names with your team.
Recent links
Short links on 2link.in sit next to the full link in your project, each with its own click count. They come with paid plans, from $19 a month.
Start with a free account: it keeps your links and campaign names. Upgrade when you need more.
Templates save a set of UTM values you can apply in one click, so the whole team builds links the same way. They come with paid plans, from $19 a month.

Naming rules
Consistent names keep your reports readable.
- 01
Always lowercase
GA4 is case-sensitive, so Facebook and facebook become two sources.
- 02
Hyphens, not spaces
Spaces turn into %20 or + in links. spring-sale reads the same everywhere.
- 03
One name per channel
Pick facebook or fb, never both. Write the list down and reuse it.
- 04
Mediums GA4 recognizes
cpc, email, social, paid-social and referral land in the right default channels.
Keeping a team to the same names is the hard part. UTMTool saves your names and suggests them in the builder.
Questions, answered
Before you share the link.
Do I need an account?
No. The builder is free and runs in your browser. A free account keeps your links and campaign names on any device and lets your team share them.
Where are my recent links saved?
Only in this browser, on your device. They are never sent to us, and they disappear if you clear your browser data. Untick "Remember my links in this browser" or use Clear all to remove them.
Which UTM parameters are required?
Google Analytics needs utm_source and utm_medium to attribute a visit. Add utm_campaign as well so you can compare links within a campaign. utm_term, utm_content and utm_id are optional.
Are UTM parameters case-sensitive?
Yes. Google Analytics 4 reports Facebook, facebook and FB as three different sources. Keep every value lowercase and pick one spelling for each source.
Should I add UTM parameters to links on my own website?
No. A UTM link on your own site starts a new session and overwrites where the visitor really came from. Use UTM parameters only on links that bring people to your site from elsewhere.
What is utm_id?
A campaign ID. Google Analytics 4 uses it to join your links with imported cost data. If you do not import costs, you can leave it empty.
Can I shorten the link?
The free builder does not shorten links. In UTMTool, paid plans shorten links with 2link.in and track their clicks next to the full URL.
