URL parser and UTM remover

Paste a link to see its parts and every query parameter decoded, and get a clean copy without UTM parameters, ad click IDs or email tracking. Nothing you paste leaves your browser.

    What it does

What the parser reads and removes

    • It reads the text of each link only: scheme, host, port, path, every query parameter and the fragment after the #. It does not open the page.
    • It removes parameters whose names start with utm_, the click IDs gclid, gbraid, wbraid, dclid, gad_source, gad_campaignid, _gl, fbclid, msclkid, ttclid, li_fat_id, twclid, igshid and yclid, and the email tracking parameters mc_cid, mc_eid, _hsenc and _hsmi. Names match whatever their letter case.
    • Every other parameter keeps its exact spelling, encoding and order, and the fragment stays last. A broken escape is shown as written, never guessed.
    • To see whether tags survive a link's redirects, use the redirect checker.

    Questions, answered

Before you share the clean link.

Does removing UTM parameters break the link?

The parser removes only the tracking parameters you tick and keeps every other part of the link exactly as written, so the link still goes to the same page. A site that reads those parameters itself may treat the visit differently.

Is the link I paste sent anywhere?

No. The parser runs in your browser; the links you paste are not sent to UTMTool.

Why are + and %20 shown as spaces?

The parameter table decodes each value so you can read it, the way a browser form does. The clean link keeps the original encoding.
